Genshin 3.0 What You Need to Know:
Right on cue, Genshin Impact 3.0 is set to release on August 24th, and brings brand new locales and mechanics galore. It also confirms that the leaks we’ve received are pretty reliable.
The update is entitled ‘The Morn A Thousand Roses Brings’ and introduces the diverse region of Sumeru which is made up of both desert and rainforests. The lush half of the region also befits the newest element, Dendro, which embodies the power of nature.
Sumeru is known for its City of Scholars and their worship of the Lesser Lord Kusanali, Teyvat’s god of wisdom. However, one of two factions which this new region centers around – the Akademiya faction – wishes to diminish her authority. The Archon faction, however, wishes for quite the opposite.
Brand-new NPCs will also make an appearance, including Al Haitham, Nilou, Nahida, Dehya, and Cyno. The leaked trio of new playable characters, Collei (Dendro Archer), Dori (Electro Claymore) and Tighnari (Dendro Archer) have also been confirmed. And this generous helping of archers brings a new fish-themed bow to obtain.
Two new bosses, the Jadeplume Terrorshroom and Electro Regisvine, will also be ready for a butt-whooping with version 3.0’s first patch. Each will drop items that will be essential for Sumeru character ascension.
Finally, the Genshin 3.0 update will of course bring a slew of events. Graven Innocence tasks players with collecting images and experimenting in battle to help inspire some toymakers in Port Ormos. Completing this event will earn players the chance to invite Collei for free.
Fayz Trials and Tablet Analytics are two new combat events that will afford players a chance to earn ample primogems. Both will feature trial characters as players aim to deal as much damage as possible to rake in the rewards.
Players won’t have long to wait before we can enjoy Genshin Impact 3.1 either, as the first update to Genshin 3.0 will come just five weeks later as opposed to the customary six on September 28, 2022.
