Netmarble releases restaurant simulation

The game is generally a merge between a restaurant management game and a match 3 puzzle. It follows the story of Charlotte and her aspirations to become the world’s best chef. Charlotte’s Table Gameplay

The game welcomes you with a prologue that will highlight the origin of Charlotte’s story. It turns out, Charlotte is a daughter of a famous chef but was stolen from her parents on her first birthday. Charlotte has no idea of her roots but just like her long-lost father, she aspires to become a world-renowned chef. The mechanics for this game are generally simple and easily manageable. If you have experienced playing casual match 3 puzzle games like Playrix’ Gardenscapes and Homescapes, then you should know the drill.

The game comes with two main phases, the decorating and cooking phase, and the puzzle phase. Each Episode comes with a series of tasks that you must complete. Each task requires a certain number of Star points which you can obtain by clearing levels from the puzzle phase. The puzzles in this game are very much the same as the standard match 3 games. As soon as you start, it prompts you to a grid filled with colorful tiles. This grid will change dynamically per level. Each level comes with a different set of goals. Some of these require you to clear a certain number of specific tiles while others require you to collect a number of items.

To start, simply match three or more identical tiles on the grid. Swipe two adjacent tiles to match the similar tiles horizontally or vertically. You can also take advantage of the powerups which you can obtain by matching four or more identical tiles.

Rockets: This powerup is formed by matching four identical tiles and is aligned either vertically or horizontally on the grid. Rockets can eliminate an entire row or column of tiles depending on the direction it is facing.

Bombs: The bombs are formed by matching five identical tiles in an intersecting position (L or T Shaped). Bombs can destroy a massive number of nearby tiles (covering a 3 x 3 grid)

Propellers: The propellers are obtained by matching four identical tiles that cover a 2×2 grid. Tapping the propellers will automatically destroy a tile to help you complete your goal.

Rainbow Ball: The rainbow disco ball is formed by matching five identical tiles that are aligned vertically or horizontally. The powerup can destroy all tiles of the same color in one turn.

Aside from the powerups that you can obtain by matching tiles, you can also take advantage of the consumables that you can either purchase using the gold currency or obtain them from various reward systems. These consumables will give you the ability to eliminate a single tile manually, clear a large portion of tiles, or deploy three propellers on the grid. Take note that each level comes with a limited number of allotted moves. If you failed to reach your target within the required number of moves, the game will come to a quick end and you will lose a life point. You will also have no other option but to start at the same level back from the very beginning.

Compelling Story to Follow

Aside from its fun and addictive tile-matching puzzles, Charlotte’s Table offers a very compelling plot that players can engage with. From her mysterious past to her colorful journey as an aspiring chef, you will definitely find the story truly compelling and heartwarming. Charlotte will eventually meet various characters as she improves her restaurant and some of which will drag her close to her mysterious roots.

Decorate and Customize

Another highlight of the game is the ability to customize your character. You can customize Charlotte’s appearance according to your preferences. You will unlock various outfits as you progress and it is all up to you to mix and match these clothes to make your character more fashionable and appealing. Please be mindful that customizing your character requires a different form of virtual currency that you can obtain from rewards, bonuses, and in-game shops. You can also decorate and re-decorate your restaurant according to your own liking. If you feel like something has to be changed, simply click the item and choose from any of the three available options.

Seasonal Events

The game just got started but you can already enjoy some of its newly added seasonal events. For instance, the game currently has a Christmas-themed event that allows you to win limited-edition items and rewards.
