Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers

In line with the release of the new Godzilla X Kong movie, a new Godzilla game has been released. Hunted Cow Games, the same studio behind various MMOs like Warhammer Chaos & Conquest, Operation New Earth, and Eldevin to name a few has developed a new Godzilla game that takes you to the growing MonsterVerse. Brought by Legendary Pictures and Toho Co. Ltd, the MonsterVerse franchise officially started in 2014 with the Godzilla reboot film. The franchise brought some of the classic “Kaiju” monsters referred to in this franchise as “titans.”

These titans include Godzilla, King Kong, Mothra, Skullcrawler, Sirenjaw, and more. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is the newest addition to the series which took place after the events of the previous film. As part of the film’s promotion, Hunted Cow Games developed Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers. It is published by Tilting Point Studio and is now available as Early Access in selected areas and is open for Pre-Registration worldwide.

Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers is a real-time strategy game in which your main goal is to build your own squad and capture all the superspecies while defeating powerful titans before they can wreak havoc on the earth. The mechanics of the game are generally simple and easily manageable. If you have experienced playing a classic RTS, then you should know the drill.

The game comes with two phases. The battle phase is where you deploy your squad to the battle zone and fight against different superspecies in turn-based combat. It also comes with a building phase where you build and expand your world. Similar to classic RTS gameplay, the player is encouraged to manage the resources, build bases, train troops, and deploy their team in battle.

Explore a Beautiful Yet Enigmatic 3D World

Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers is an absolute visual delight. It takes you to the visually striking world of the Monsterverse where you get to explore different biomes. Each biome allows you to discover unique superspecies. Of course, the game also highlights the iconic monsters that were introduced in the films. These include Mother LongLegs and Skullcrawlers which both first appeared in 2017 Kong: Skull Island and the Rockclaw monster which first appeared in 2021 Godzilla vs Kong.

The game is most likely to feature monsters or titans that first appear in the latest film installment. These might include characters like Skar King, Suko, and Shimo. While the main characters in this game are not entirely based on movies, they are well-crafted and well-designed. Some of the heroes include Kenzo, Reagan, Mei, and Tom to name a few. Each comes with a unique set of skills and expertise. Kenzo, for instance, is armed with a rifle while Reagan is equipped with a flame thrower. Mei, on the other hand, is an expert archer.

Upgrade and Expand Your Outpost

Like any other RTS game, upgrading your base plays a crucial role in maximizing your chances of surviving. Here, you will be asked to upgrade your outpost to progress and unlock new features. You will be asked to expand and explore new areas and discover more facilities along the way. To clear and claim areas, you might be asked to defeat the Titans by deploying your squad on the battlefield. As you progress and as you gather enough resources, you can unlock new facilities to make your team more efficient and more effective.

You can add research facilities to become more productive when gathering resources and to learn new skills for your heroes. Farms, on the other hand, will act as a food supply for all the people in your base. Take note that every construction requires a certain number of resources. So, make sure to gather enough to proceed.

Although you can do pretty much anything in the game, you still need to complete the quests to progress. For instance, you can only perform certain upgrades if certain facilities are already upgraded to a specific level. For example, the defense wall can be upgraded to Level 3 only if the Outpost is upgraded to the same level. The upgrade time for both production and construction will exponentially increase as you progress. It means that you might have to wait for hours just to complete an update. However, you can utilize power-ups to expedite the process.

Upgrading your character will also drastically increase their attributes which makes them more efficient in the battle. You can only deploy a limited number of chasers per mission. You can also switch them before deployment and try your best to come up with a powerful squad.

If you are a big fan of the Monsterverse, Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers is surely a great fit for your device. It takes you to the epic world of Kaiju monsters and will feature the titans that we all grew up with. Like most RTS games, the challenge of this game will gradually increase as you progress. The longer you play, the more thrilling it becomes. Appearance-wise, this game will certainly not disappoint. It is well-polished and wonderfully optimized for mobile devices.
