Coachella – We Have a Good Alternative

With its track record, it’s no wonder that Fortnite is currently engaged in a high-profile collaboration with one of the biggest festivals in the world, Coachella. For the next few weeks, Fortnite players can embody the spirit of the event with myriad skins and a showcase of the festival’s artists on Icon Radio.

Fortnite is no stranger to musical collaborations. Players have been attending in-game concerts featuring the likes of J Balvin and Ariana Grande for years. And while they are yet to host Coachella (though never say never), players can at least celebrate in ostentatious style. Just what Coachella is all about. And lets face it, there are some amazing apps with great music out there.

As of right now, players can don the Wilder and Lyric outfits and accessories. The Wilder garb includes a shark theme with a Finfin Back Bling, Neon Biter Pickaxe and the Cosmic Equalizer alt style – a neon-tinged skin that reacts to music.

The Lyric outfit, meanwhile, includes the Swaguaro Back Bling, the electric Festival Shredder Pickaxe – both of which are reactive to music – as well as its own Cosmic Equalizer alt Style. Both the Wilder and Lyric Outfits are available individually or as part of the Rocking at Coachella Bundle.

Coachella, however, isn’t over yet. As festival goers gear up for the second weekend, Fortnite is introducing a second wave of items on 21st April. These include the Alto and Poet Outfits, each of which are also music-reactive.

Alto’s accessories include the Sonic Vibes Back Bling and the tropical Softest Electropalm Pickaxe. Poet includes the Cosmonautic Helmet Back Bling, the Cactical Crusher Pickaxe and the Mainstage Wrap. Grabbing these in the Dancing at Coachella Bundle will also treat players to the Enter the Coachellaverse Loading Screen.

Throughout the bonanza, Epic are celebrating on social media via the Good Vibes Fortography event. Whilst players may not have the privilege of dancing at the real thing, they can instead celebrate in-game. Taking a screenshot of their celebrations and sharing them via Twitter with the hashtag #Fortography or posting with the Fortography flair on r/FortNiteBR may find themselves showcased in an official blog post on April 29th, 2022.
